The classic TAEA frame from Eva Masaki rendered in fine Italian leather. The namesake of Masaki’s young daughter Taea, the slightly oversized shape is designed to fit a wide range of face shapes. Handmade in Northern Italy with Zeiss lenses. 100% UV protection.
Acetate rim with temple tips hand-wrapped in leather. Shaded lens with anti-reflecting blue backing. The nose pad features a subtle Masaki logo in gold. Stainless steel frame with matte gold finish.
Frames are paired with a special leather case made with Japanese designer Miki Nagamine of RAKU, who makes leather shoes out of her shop in San Cristóbal, Mexico. The case is inspired by the moccasin shoe traditional to indigenous cultures in North and Central America and is cut from vegetable-tanned Horween Essex leather. Like Miki’s shoes, the case is designed to “become part of the wearer’s comfortable life and bring a little bit of joy.” Buttery soft structure. Handmade in Mexico.
