leingrau blankets come from designer/artist Ilze Lebus. her textile pieces are inspired by the Northern light of her home country, the unique blue-grey of the sea and the sky. her raw material isåÊlinen which is traditionally grown in Latvia und Lithuania. she orders it from selected manufacturers in the region. in her Berliner studio she 'felts' the linen according to an ancient, traditional technique. each of Ilze Lebus' creations tells its own story of the northern winds, lonely pine forests and of the beauty of the baltic sea.
