Hering Berlin Mountain Fowl Breakfast / Dessert Plate

ADDITIONAL SHIPPING FEE: Required for large heavy and fragile items.

A truly unique animal depiction was achieved on the breakfast plate featuring the mountain fowl, or as they say in Germany, mountain cock.

Hunting dinnerware service has a great tradition at German porcelain manufactories. Porcelain designer Stefanie Hering approaches this noble theme with a charming twinkle in her eye: the decor, developed in collaboration with star chef Harald Rüssel, shows animals and plant details from forests, fields and mountains in drawings in subtle shades of grey and with a slightly humorous touch. pieces are dishwasher safe.

WHY WE LOVE IT

The essence of a well laid table. From turning a plate in the moulding shop, to the elaborate painting, to finishing the porcelain objects after firing - everything is done by hand at Hering Berlin.

DETAILS

Bisque porcelain; both unglazed and finely polished.

Though it looks fragile and extremely difficult to clean, it is actually denser, harder, firmer, and more resistant to abrasion and scratches than glazed porcelain. Being fired at 1400°C closes all its pores. The porcelain forms its own glaze, so no dirt can penetrate it – which makes bisque porcelain from Hering Berlin ideal for use in dining services.
