The assia shirt - in a kitchen setting - features small red gingham checks and floral embroidery inspired by antique earthenware. It is made from an equal blend of cotton and tencel; a complex and eco-responsible manufacturing process, produced in a closed loop. We made the clear choice never to work with its visual counterpart, viscose, (or any other synthetic fiber for that matter), as it is a highly chemical process that does not align with our values.
WHY WE LOVE IT
Mii Collection pieces are crafted their own workshop in India, with patience and precision, perpetuating an ancestral textile savoir-faire that is deeply important.
Each piece is then embellished with Aari embroidery, a traditional Indian technique made entirely by hand using a small hook. This meticulous skill, passed down from generation to generation, keeps a precious textile heritage alive, at the crossroads of tradition and contemporary creation.
