Bjarni Viðar Sigurðssons draws inspiration from the tension and change he observes in his native landscape. Iconic Iceland sceneries such as the ever-evolving rough textures of Jökulsárlón and smooth, basalt steps of Vik Beach set the precedent for Bjarni’s clean forms and experimentation with varied glazes. Bjarni excels in creating uniquely different pieces through layers of glazes (He estimates he's worked with over 1,000 glazes throughout his career).
