Seattle based fine jewelry designer Francesca Lacagnina began her creative life in the 70’s. Born in Italy, her family exposed her from a young age to great cities of antiquity – which cultivated the rich visual language she would later express through her design aesthetic. After a successful 20-year career in fine art and photography, Francesca’s attraction to beauty and imaginative possibilities prompted her to launch her namesake fine jewelry brand in 2008.
Her pieces not only reflect her appreciation for the shapes and textures found in nature, but also focus on the ancient “lost wax” technique which pays homage to her early years of living abroad in Europe and the Middle East. Her belief that everything is connected further formed her commitment to ethical standards which is why the line is comprised of recycled gold and ethically mined gemstones.
