    Sayori Tanaka started her brand, TANAKA, in New York, 2017. The concept, “clothes that weave together the past 100 years and the next 100 years”. Tanaka was born and raised surrounded by nature in Niigata with her father, an oil painter and kimono textile designer, and grandfather, a landscape gardener who made Japanese gardens. The influence of nature informs the designers approach to her growing global brand, articulated in a unique international aesthetic that is both timeless and current.
